Help Sanctuary for Sisterhood continue creating welcoming peer-support and creative wellbeing spaces for women affected by adversity, trauma, domestic abuse or isolation.
For many women, healing does not begin with having all the answers. It begins with a safe room, a welcoming conversation and the knowledge that they are not alone.
Sanctuary for Sisterhood CIC creates nurturing community spaces where women can connect without judgement, rebuild confidence and move forward at their own pace.
Since incorporating in 2024, our volunteer-run organisation has delivered peer-support circles, creative workshops, awareness activities and community empowerment programmes across Wandsworth, Hammersmith & Fulham, and Kensington & Chelsea.
Our activities have included painting, pottery, embroidery, drumming, spoken word and other creative experiences. These sessions give women opportunities to express themselves, develop friendships and reconnect with their own strengths.
The support can continue long after a workshop ends. Through one of our previous programmes, participants established a WhatsApp network where women could continue reaching out to and supporting one another outside the sessions.
We now want to raise £1500 over 100 days to help keep these community activities free and accessible.
Funds raised will help contribute towards:
- - Delivering peer-support and creative wellbeing sessions.
- - Facilitator, venue and activity costs.
- - Art, craft and wellbeing materials.
- - Refreshments and practical support for participants.
- - Community outreach, referrals and signposting.
- - Creating more opportunities for women to connect and build confidence.
