Motherhood can be joyful - but for many women, it can also feel overwhelming, lonely, and emotionally exhausting.
Right now, 1 in 4 mothers in the UK experience mental health challenges during pregnancy or in the first years after birth. Many struggle silently with anxiety, depression, trauma, isolation, and the pressure of coping alone.
That is why MumsAid exists. Based in the Royal Borough of Greenwich, MumsAid is an award-winning local charity providing free, specialist counselling, therapeutic groups and holistic support to mothers experiencing emotional or mental health challenges from pregnancy to two years postpartum.
MumsAid helps Greenwich mums feel heard, supported, and able to recover during one of the most important stages of life.
MumsAid works with mothers most at risk of being overlooked by mainstream services — including:
- - Young mothers
- - Global majority mothers
- - Mothers of babies with complex needs
- - Women facing isolation or limited support networks
Their impact is life-changing:
- - 85% of mums experience improved mental health
- - 91% report a stronger bond with their baby
- - 100% would recommend MumsAid services
Our Goal: £1,500
By reaching our target of £1,500, MumsAid can help provide specialist counselling and emotional support for 20 mothers suffering from anxiety, depression, trauma, isolation, and other perinatal mental health challenges.
That means 20 mums receiving the help they need when they need it most - creating healthier mothers, stronger babies, and happier families.
Every donation brings us closer to changing a life.
Donate today to help MumsAid continue providing life-changing support to mothers in Greenwich who need it most.
No mum should suffer alone.
Together, we can help 20 mothers access life-changing support through this campaign.
Please donate, share, and stand with mothers this Maternal Mental Health Week.
